The women’s golf team completed the second day of the UCF Challenge maintaining their 17 place spot where they began the day.
They started the day tied in 17 place with Oregon State, but Oregon State fell to last place leaving Georgia State slightly ahead.
All of the teams, except for North Carolina, shot over par on day two of the challenge. Georgia State shot 23 over par for the day for a total of 39 over par for the combined two days.
North Carolina had a remarkable day shooting 10 under par making a two-day combined score of 11 under par.
Laura Sanchez had the best 18 holes for the Panthers shooting two over par. Sanchez was able to stay even until holes 11 and 13 where she shot a bogey on each.
Sanchez and Lied have the best overall score for the team shooting eight over par.
The UCF Challenge concludes tomorrow, and the Panthers are hoping to move up a few positions on the leaderboard while North Carolina will most likely hold on to their big lead and win the tournament.
