Fulton County plans to distribute more condoms

Fulton County has renewed its $300,000 contract in order to purchase more condoms for distribution, as part of an HIV prevention program. The country gives out over 2.1 million condoms each year in an effort to raise awareness about HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. According to their agenda summary, by giving out condoms, Fulton gets rid of the cost and stigma barrier for the citizens that want to use protection. According to AJC, the program will start on October 7.

Tensions between Isreali and Lebanese Olympic teams in Rio

The Lebanese Olympic team was accused of denying to share their bus to the opening ceremony with the Israeli team, which Udi Gal, the Lebanese sailing coach, said was against the spirit of the games. Salim al-Haj Nakoula, the Lebanese chef de mission, said the Israeli team was looking for trouble since the two countries are currently at war, and they had already arranged another form of transportation. However, head of the Isreali delegation, Gili Lusting, said they had to find another bus after the Lebanese aggressive behaviour. The matter was brought to the Olympic organising committee after back-and-forth tweets by Isreali and Lebanese officials, according to The Guardian.
