There were three explosions, each about 10 to 15 minutes apart, in an underground vault around Broad Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Monday evening.

The explosions, thought to be caused by a blown underground transformer, made five manhole covers blow into the air, according to what Carol Boatright, spokesperson for Georgia Power, told 11 Alive News.
