The women’s golf team finished seventh in their first Sun Belt Championship, which concluded on Wednesday.
Florida International finished the three-day event as the 2013 Sun Belt Champions.
Georgia State finished with a score of 913, 49-over-par.
After the first day of competition, the Panthers found themselves in fourth place with a score of 303.
However, they slipped to seventh after the second day after shooting 311.
The team then turned things around on the final day shooting a 299, 11-over, but it was not enough to move the team above seventh place.
All five starters will return for the Fall 2013 season beginning in September.
