Styling Oscar hopefuls

The Academy Awards are coming up ya’ll! Where there are awards, there is always fashion-–red carpet fashion. Jennifer Lawerence and Anne Hathaway have dished about what they’re wearing, knowing they’ll be plastered on the covers of magazines for weeks to come. Let’s talk about the fashion hopefuls I dream of styling for the Oscars:

1. Tim Burton in Comme des Garcon Mens Autumn 2011: Tim Burton is such an innovative wonder. This year he’s up for best animated feature film for “Frankenweenie.” Unfortunately, Mr. Burton’s outfit choices are a little yawn-inducing for such an interesting person. He should be in Comme des Garcon – something with flair! The black-on-black polka dot blazer from the aforementioned collection. A crisp white dress shirt would do nicely. Some navy (yes, I did say navy) fitted slacks and perhaps some super comortable black shoes would work well.

Helen Hunt in Jason Wu Spring 2012: So Helen Hunt is up for an Oscar for best supporting actress. She’s already been making rounds on the red carpet train this season. In fact, she looks amazing at every show and fashion critics are taking note. I’m thinking she should turn up the drama notch a little bit and try something along the lines of Jason Wu: I see her in the jaw-dropping black and white gown at Wu’s Spring 2012 show. Go voluminous, Helen!

Quvenzhané Wallis in whatever she wants because she is adorable, and clearly amazing: She is literally the youngest person EVER to be nominated for best actress at a mere 9-years-old! If I were tostyle her for the biggest night of her life, I would tell her to wear a tiara. DEFINITELY a tiara.

Do you have any fashion predictions for the Oscars 2013? What about your opinions during the show? I’ll be tweeting about my favorite fashion feats and fails on Oscar Sunday, Feb. 24.

Tweet Samantha and share your thoughts on fashion, inspiration and Ryan Gosling, of course.
