Happy Spooky Season! A classic fall-time staple is roasting marshmallows by the campfire and making s’mores, but that’s nearly impossible on campus. However, this doesn’t mean the tradition has to be lost . With just an oven or a toaster oven, you can make the gooiest and spookiest s’mores indoors without having to pile on  heavy coats and finding the nearest woods.

Cook time: 5 minutes

Total time: 15 minutes

Servings: 12 s’more bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of Peeps ghost marshmallows
  • 4 full-size milk chocolate candy bars (preferably Hershey’s)
  • 8 full-size graham crackers
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spray the non-stick cooking spray into the pan, then place half the graham crackers into the pan, covering the bottom of the pan completely.
  3. Cover the top with the chocolate candy bars, making sure to cover the graham cracker base completely.
  4. Top with the spooky ghost-shaped marshmallows.
  5. Place the pan into the oven for 3-5 minutes, allowing just enough time for the chocolate to begin to melt, but not enough time that the marshmallows burn at the top. The marshmallows should look fluffy and golden at their peak.
  6. Remove from the oven and gently press the other half of the graham crackers on top of the marshmallows to really make these look like s’mores.
  7. Let them cool for a couple of seconds and enjoy your spooky snack.
