Gunshots were fired on June 8 around 1:30 a.m. at Piedmont Avenue and Armstrong Street, according to a university campus broadcast.
Georgia State Police and Atlanta Police Department (APD) responded to scene and discovered one non-GSU individual was shot in the arm. The victim was then transported to Grady Hospital, the broadcast states.
Police then discovered the gunshots caused damage to glass windows on the 1st and 2nd levels of the Lofts parking deck. One vehicle was also damaged, according to the broadcast.
Georgia State’s Deputy Chief, Carlton Mullis, said there may have been students inside of the parking deck at the time of the incident.
The possible suspect, seen getting into a white Chevrolet Impala, is described as an approximately five-foot-nine black male wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans, te broadcast states.
APD is conducting a further investigation into the incident, according to Mullis.
