The Georgia State women’s basketball team recorded its first home win since the Holiday and Hoops Classic in December as they defeated the William and Mary Tribe by a final score of 57-52 on Thursday night.
Georgia State’s scoring attack was balanced in the first half as Kendra Long scored seven points and Kayla Nolan added six.
The score was 28-25 Panthers at the half.
Georgia State would start the second half on a 13 to nothing run as William and Mary would not score their first points of the second stanza until 14 minutes were left in the second half.
Georgia State got 17 points from Nolan and 11 from Long. Both also contributed six rebounds.
The next game for the Panthers will be on Sunday at noon at the Sports Arena when they take on Towson. The game can also be heard on WRAS-FM 88.5 radio.
