The UCF Challenge concluded today in Sorrento, Fla. with the Panthers finishing in 17th place.
The Panthers shot 20 over par on day three ending the challenge with a total score of 59 over par.
They finished only ahead of Oregon State who fell in last place shooting 64 over par.
Maria Palacios and Julie Lied both had the best day three score shooting a 75. Lied had the best overall score for the panthers shooting 11 over par.
North Carolina won the UCF Challenge by a landslide with a score of 10 under par. The other 17 schools shot over par for the tournament.
The Panthers now have some time off before their busy month of March when they will be a part of three different tournaments.
The next outing for the women’s golf team is March 8-10 for the JMU Eagle Landing Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
