The struggles continue for Georgia State women’s basketball team as they fell to Old Dominion by a final score of 68-45 on Thursday night.
The defeat was the Panthers’ sixth in their last seven games and pushes their overall record to 9-8 and 1-5 in Colonial Athletic Association play.
The first 10 minutes of the game looked very promising for Georgia State before Old Dominion closed out the first half with a 13 to 1 run to take a 28-16 lead at the half.
Kayla Nolan had six points at the half for Georgia State while Cody Paulk contributed eight rebounds and two points. Jackie Cook would be Old Dominion’s leading scorer at the half with eight points.
The second half would see Georgia State cut the ODU lead to as few as 14, but it would balloon to as many as 26.
Cook finished with 15 points for Old Dominion.
Nolan led Georgia State with 14 points. Paulk finished with 13 rebounds five points.
The two game road trip will conclude for Georgia State on Sunday as they play George Mason at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
