Michael Nwiloh set Georgia State soccer history on Tuesday.
A standout defender for the Panthers, Nwiloh became the first MLS draft selection when the Chivas USA chose him in the fourth round with the 59th pick.
Nwiloh concluded his Georgia State career with 72 starts out of 74 games he played in and a total of nine career points.
Nwiloh was also recently named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-South Region second team in December.
“As a program, we are really excited for Michael becoming GSU’s first MLS draftee,” head coach Brett Surrency said (via Georgia State Athletics). “He is well deserving and we hope he goes on to have a long and successful pro career.”
