Georgia State grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute with freshman forward Amiri Abraham’s sixth goal of the season.

At halftime, Mercer had a 7-4 advantage in shots leaving Georgia State goalkeeper CJ Cochran with three saves.
In the 48th minute, Mercer forward Juan Jose Morales scored on a through ball tying the score at 1-1.
The Bears nearly took the lead on a shot by Mark Riggins in the 56th minute, but Cochran was able to deflect it wide left.
Wilding then scored the game-winner to go up 2-1, and the Panthers’ defense was able to keep the Bears at bay until the final whistle.
Georgia State forward Caleb Kernan was able to redirect Abraham’s pass into the path of Eddie Wilding, who scored with a shot off the outside of his right foot into the top left corner past Ranjitsingh.
