The Georgia State softball team picked up its 20th victory on the season as they defeated the Chattanooga Mocs by a final score of 3-1 on Wednesday night.
In the top of the first inning, the Panthers plated two unearned runs on a Callie Alford singled and a throwing error by the Mocs.
Chattanooga’s only run came on a Kasey Tydingco home run in the second inning.
In the top of the sixth, Jessica Clifton singled to score Alford.
A seven inning, four-hit outing for Panthers’ pitcher Kaitlyn Medlam secured her 10th victory of the season.
Kaisey Carson was credited with her sixth loss for Chattanooga after pitching only two innings.
The Panthers now sport a 20-9 season record.
Georgia State’s road trip continues with a three game weekend set against conference rival the Hofstra Pride in Hempstead, N.Y..
The first two games are scheduled for this Friday.
