Students, faculty and staff only have a couple of weeks to nominate individuals for the annual Carl V. Patton President’s Award for community service and social justice.
There are five categories for the awards, including outstanding community impact or a student and student organization, outstanding faculty or staff, outstanding university program and outstanding community partner.
“It’s important to nominate faculty, staff, students, student organizations and community partners because so many of them are doing outstanding work in the community and it’s important to share those accomplishments with the Georgia State community,” said Jennifer Bodnar, the student affairs advisor for the Office of Civic Engagement.
Bodnar said there are typically a “handful of solid nominations” in all of the categories. The categories do vary from year to year.
