Football staff adds former Bulldog

According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Georgia State has hired former University of Georgia running back Thomas Brown as their new running backs coach.

Georgia State Athletics could not confirm the hiring as of this morning.

Brown served as the running backs coach for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga last season, his first year as a coach.  He previously worked in the strength and conditioning program at UGA.

Brown, a Tucker, Ga. native, played for UGA from 2004-2007, rushing for 2,646 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Georgia State is scheduled to host UTC on Sept. 7, 2013 inside the Georgia Dome.
