Georgia State University Career Services is helping students develop their career passions.
Career Services is hosting a career forum, Careers of the Heart, today from 2 p.m. to 3:30pm. in room 260 of the University Center.
The purpose of the event is “to acquaint students and provide an opportunity to hear from professionals in the caring industries and agencies,” said Carrietta Butts, Career Resource Center Manager.
The forum will include panelists such a representative from the Georgia State University Nursing Department, a social worker, a parole officer and a Family and Pediatric counselor.
The panelists will inform students about their careers, their passions and how they arrived at their professions.
“I hope students understand the value of what we try to do in career services to help them learn, explore and develop their career passions,” Butts said.
