Students are in for a sweet treat with the arrival of the end of the year carnival that will take place on April 12 at Georgia State.
As an effort to bring students together and to celebrate Spring Fling Week, the Spotlight Board Program has organized an evening of pure fun.
“We will have Skip’s catering and traditional carnival games,” Asha Armstrong, one of the co-directors of special events in Spotlight, said. “Then we’re going to have life size checkers and Jenga. There will also be live performances from Dancers on Point and Quiet Storm.”
Armstrong also explained that planing for events like the carnival happens gradually.
“We’ve been planning this event since the fall. Its a lot of work, but it’s fun,” Armstrong said. “We’re always trying to keep the students’ desires in mind and make them proud.”
The carnival will be located near Hurt Park at the top of Gilmer Street, and it will last from 6-9 p.m. It is sure to be a very fun event that all students will enjoy.
