The Georgia State women’s basketball team was defeated by Delaware on Thursday night by a final score of 70-38.
The 32 point margin of defeat is the Panthers’ largest of the year and it was also the team’s lowest point total of any game this season.
While it was competitive early in the first half, Delaware scored 14 consecutive points midway through the opening half to increase the Georgia State deficit to 17.
Delaware led 40-21 at the half.
As has been the story with most of Delaware’s games, Elena Delle Donne led the way with 19 first half points. For the Panthers, Cody Paulk contributed seven points.
The second half would see Delaware increase their lead to as many as 33 points.
Delle Donne, who sat out most of the second half, finished with 25 points.
On the Georgia State side, Paulk would finish with 13 points and seven rebounds.
The team will head back on the road as they face Drexel this Sunday at 2 p.m..
