According to a report by CNN, Atlanta is the seventh most dangerous city in the U.S., with Detroit in first place.
The main problem is violent crimes.
Aggravated assaults were up 3 percent since 2010—the fifth highest among U.S. cities. Robberies increased by 8 percent.
Though Atlanta ranks in the top 10, there were five fewer murders in 2011 and property crimes dropped slightly.
