Georgia State University Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Auburn Ave., Friday, Oct. 26.
A Georgia State student reported to police he was walking under the overpass of Interstate 75/85 at about 3:16 p.m. when he was approached by an unknown individual. The individual then pointed what appeared to be a gun into the student’s back and demanded his wallet. The wallet was handed over to the suspect and the suspect then fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male with light complexion, in his early 20’s, approximately 6’0” slender build, wearing a black hooded shirt and black track pants.
“This is all the information we have on the case at this time. The incident is still under investigation.” said Lt. David Hickey of Georgia State Police’s Criminal Investigations Division.
