Breaking the law twice
A report was filed for an agency assist and outstanding warrants. Georgia State officers stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation and discovered the driver had an active burglary/home invasion warrant from DeKalb County. The vehicle was impounded and the individual was arrested, processed and transported to Fulton County Jail.
Oct. 13
More stolen book bags
Two students had their book bags stolen: One at the University Center and the other at Waffle House. Reports for theft were filed and the cases are under investigation.
Take your things with you
A report was filed for theft from vehicle interior. A Georgia State student said he left his book bag in the trunk of his vehicle and later discovered it was stolen. The case is under investigation.
Oct. 14
To park or not to park on campus
A report was filed for unlawfully damaged/tampered property after a Georgia State staff member said she parked her vehicle at N Parking Deck and discovered the driver-side door was damaged. No items were stolen and the case is being investigated.
Oct. 15
Criminal trespassing continues
Two reports were filed for criminal trespass warning (CTW). Georgia State officers made contact with a male loitering at the University Commons and another male at the Sports Arena. Both were issued CTWs and escorted off of the properties.
Eyes open during lunch
A Georgia State student and her father said they were eating at a restaurant off campus when a male took her wallet off of their table. The wallet was recovered but the money and credit cards had been stolen. A report was filed for theft and the case is under investigation.
Threats on call
A report was filed for terroristic threats by phone after a student said she received threats from an unknown male. The case is under investigation.
Oct. 16
Objects unattended
Three reports for theft were filed after students left their objects unattended. The incidents occurred at the University Commons, Library South and Library North. Reports were filed for theft and the cases are being investigated.
