In an effort to provide more service to students without raising expenses, senators decided to reallocate funding from current fees into the library fee. The funding created by this new fee will help the Student Government Association (SGA) in its hopes of opening a 24-hour library on campus.
During the meeting, members of the executive board also said they wanted to encourage students to become more involved in SGA.
Ways that students can do this is becoming an active member on the board, on a committee, or giving feedback and having their voices heard. SGA feedback forms are available online or outside of the SGA office.
Timothy Smith, SGA’s Vice-President of Student Life, said that students can give feedback on SGA as whole such as the things that the organization is doing well, what they can improve on and so forth.
“The service of the month is the Digital Aquarium. Students can pick up surveys and feedback forms at the SGA office to give SGA feedback on the service they provide,” Smith said.
