Research Associate (Fall)

The Research Associate is an analyst at heart. They are numbers-driven and goal-oriented. This position is fine-tuned for students interested in Marketing Research as a career and looking to build an early portfolio of results.

Brand Ambassador (Fall)

The Brand Ambassador drives consistent readership on campus. They are our boots on the ground, engaging with students and converting passersby into loyal readers, supportive donors or prospective employees. Brand Ambassadors receive a T-shirt and one (1) community service hour per one (1) stack of newspapers distributed.

Account Executive (Fall)

The Account Executive sells advertisements to local businesses and university departments/organizations. They are naturally driven, strategic and personable. The Account Executive will make personal sales calls and build rapport with potential advertisers in the Atlanta community while working toward strict weekly and monthly sales objectives.

Our Hiring Process

  • You submit an application.

    Take your time completing the application. If you’re submitting a writing sample, spend at least a week drafting and contacting sources. Be brief but detailed in your responses.

  • We review it and assess your fit.

    We typically review applications in batches of 20-30 students. Everyone receives a response no matter the decision, so please be patient! When reviewing your application, we look for developed ideas, proper grammar and attention to detail. If you deliver these, you’ll pass with flying colors.

  • We invite you to an orientation session.

    If our team likes your application, we’ll invite you to an orientation session. They’re typically held on Saturdays on the Atlanta campus, and in-person attendance is required to begin working at The Signal. The session is about five hours long and covers our workplace, history, opportunities and expectations.
