Adidas “Speedfactory” is coming to Georgia
Adidas released its plans of bringing a new factory to Cherokee County, Georgia, which will bring over 160 new jobs to the state. The “speedfactory” aims to increase the manufacturing process by using robots, and it will be the second of its kind, the other being in Germany. According to WABE, the factory’s technologies will help create over 50,000 pairs of shoes in 2017.

Amusement parks face rage over child accidents
Amusement parks around the nation are under fire for their safety upkeep and procedures after three recent accidents leaving over one child dead and four in critical condition. Multiple amusement park safety consultants have turned to the government for stricter federal regulations in all states. However, Jun Zhuang, industrial and systems engineering professor at the University of Buffalo said there are other things that influence accidents like the ones in the past week. According to USA Today, Zhuang said wind and weather conditions play a role in safety, but are impossible to test.

U.S. Swimmers robbed in Rio
While driving to the Olympic Village in a taxi Sunday morning, four U.S. Olympic swimmers were pulled over and robbed by men impersonating police officers. Ryan Lochte, Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger, and Jimmy Feigen, told police the men who pulled their taxi over showed police badges before telling them to get out of the car. They pulled guns out and when Lochte refused to sit on the ground, one of the men, stuck his gun on Lochte’s forehead. They took their money and wallets and then took off, according to the L.A. Times.
