– How you’re involved on campus.
I hold many leadership roles on campus as currently sit as a Senator for the Student Government Association in the College of Arts & Sciences, The 1913 Society Student Ambassador, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. The Zeta Mu Chapter as Vice President, Infinite Appeal as a creative team member, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.
– The most pressing issues on campus.
The most pressing issues on campus right now have got to be campus safety. With the recent increase in crime on campus, this is something that must be addressed. We must take tangible steps to ensure the safety of our students. School is the last place students should come and feel unsafe.
– Your platform.
My platform is Enhancing Campus Safety, Fostering Unity Amongst All 6 Campuses, Ensuring Dependability of the Student Government Association to Students, Transparency – Bridging the Gap between students and faculty and Increasing Resource Awareness.
– Your experience.
I believe as a transparent, adaptable leader within SGA it has very much prepared me for the EVP position. I possess a strong understanding of how to influence others and motivate them to gather around one common goal, the betterment of the Student Body. Since being heavily involved on campus I have been able to make several connections within the different avenues of campus life that has enabled me to truly understand what students want to see and how SGA can advocate for them.
– What Separates you from other candidates?
While I have some amazing opponents and I believe whoever assumes the position will represent our student body well, but what sets me a part from my competition is my level of enthusiasm for the Student Government Association and connections amongst students of all classifications here at Georgia State. I believe my people skills and reach across campus will enable me to make the most difference for our student body.
– How have you proven that you’re a proud Panther?
Throughout my 3 year journey thus far as a student at Georgia State University, I have taken full advantage of all the amazing things our great University has to offer. I believe through my involvement in campus life and devotion to impact our Georgia State Community I have proven that I am a Proud Panther and truly love Georgia State.
