Infant left inside carjacked vehicle is safe
An Atlanta father left his 9-month-old baby girl inside his unlocked and running car. The vehicle was stolen, with the infant inside, while Jaime Cucum-Macario grabbed pizzas from a Little Caesar’s in DeKalb County on Saturday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The baby girl was found three hours later approximately six miles away at a Publix grocery story. The car thief has yet to be arrested. However, DeKalb County police spokesman Capt. S.R. Fore said Cucum-Macario received a police citation for “creating a hazardous or condition,” according the AJC.

US Vice President Joe Biden’s son dies of cancer
Beau Biden, son of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, died of brain cancer at the age of 46 on Saturday, according to CNN. He was elected Delaware’s attorney general in 2006, and was re-elected in 2010. Beau Biden also served as captain of the Delaware Army National Guard, and was deployed to Iraq in 2008. He was married and a father of two.

Japan rocked by two earthquakes
A 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean south of Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, according to The Guardian. A dozen people were injured, and 400 were trapped in Tokyo Tower’s observation decks. The following Sunday, a 6.2-magnitude quake shook the Izu Islands, but no one was injured. Seismologists cautioned for Japan to stay alert for the next quake.
