This weekend a lot of warm-weather events are ending, while plenty of Christmas events are just beginning. Get festive and enjoy a night out on the town.
1. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis at the Arena at Gwinnett Center
Friday Nov. 22, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will be joining Atlanta at the Arena at the Gwinnett Center at 7 p.m. They recently made Billboard history as the only duo to send their first two singles to number one on both Hot 200 and top 40 radio charts. The two songs “Can’t Hold Us” and “Thrift Shop” had over 60 million and 350 million views on Youtube.
2. Performing Arts: A Mother’s Love
If a concert is not up your ally then why not attend a play? Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker present A Mother’s Love this Friday Nov. 22. This play focuses on a mother-daughter relationship and the decisions the daughter has to make between two men. Come out and see which man she picks at the Rialto Center for the Arts.
3. Radio City Christmas Spectacular: The Rockettes
Celebrate the last weekend The Rockettes are in town! This is the first time in years they have toured Atlanta, and tickets are still available at ticketmaster.com. The last day for their performance is Saturday Nov. 23.
4. Centennial Ice Skating Rink
Atlanta’s main holiday feature is back. This is the first weekend the ice skating rink is open. Enjoy a nice day or night on the ice for $10 ($7 for students).
5. Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights
Take a ride around Callaway Gardens and witness its 8 million light displays with 15 different scenes. This is one of the most spectacular light shows in the world. Tickets is can be found on their website.
