Just in time for another magical summer in Atlanta, the Loews Hotel opened for business on April 1, 2010. Located at 1065 Peachtree Street in the 12th and Midtown development along the Midtown mile, Loews is minutes away from the vibrant outdoor Mecca that is Piedmont Park and dozens of businesses and venues including: the Woodruff Arts Center, the High Museum of Art and the Fox Theater.
The hotel features 414 guest rooms and 44 suites, most revealing magnificent views of Midtown Atlanta and the surrounding areas, including views of Stone Mountain. There is one President Suite, two Vice-Presidential Suites, 24 Grand Luxury Suites, and seventeen Grand Suites. All the rooms feature the enormous floor-to-ceiling windows, some even have balconies and of course there’s the added complement of a television in the bathroom.
The design firm, Daroff Design Inc + DDI Architects and PC, used rich, deep color when decorating; from the woods used in the lobby, to the bright colorful painting in the rooms, there are plenty of visual delights to enjoy on your stay.
Lowes also uses an astounding 23,000-square feet of space for its exclusive spa, Exhale, and included in this space will be the 7,000 square-foot gym, which will be the largest in Midtown Atlanta and will premiere in September. Not only remembering your health but also those moments where you really need the convenience of a store but you don’t want to leave the hotel, Lowes placed a market in the hotel named Market eleven. You can pick of mini-Koshi cereal bowls, soap, magazines and even Jake’s Ice Cream for those late night cravings.
One of the most visually stunning aspects of the hotel is the bar, eleven. eleven’s bar is over 10 feet high and is home to a varied assortment of fine wines and liquors. It will certainly be a perfect location to retreat to after work and have a sip of the Lavender Drop Martini, made with “fresh lavender, lemon juice, Ciroc vodka simple syrup and will be exclusively served at this Atlanta location.
For students interested in hosting off campus events, this is an excellent option. It has over 25,000 square-feet of meeting space and is competitively priced because of competition within the Midtown Mile. The meeting rooms feature plush couches, over-stuffed chairs, state of the art Audio/Visual equipment and excellent lighting packages. Not to mention, the floor to ceiling views of the surrounding areas in all of the rooms, which may make conducting a meeting somewhat distracting.
When considering a place to take your next intown vacation, the Lowes may be an excellent option for you. For a limited time, rooms are selling for $129/per night and suites for $175/per night, or stop by, dine or tour, it’s worth it.
