Bree D’Val delivers for the ladies

Upon first meeting Bree D’Val, it is easy to recognize a certain star quality within the performer.  Everything about her presence radiates artist, from her funky hair and nails, her eccentric fashions, to her upbeat personality; this daring style finds a happy home within her music.  It’s funky, it’s fresh and it’s fun, just like Bree D’Val.

An artist in the music industry for the past five years, Bree D’Val is no stranger to self-sufficiency and hard work.  Unlike many of her current female counterparts in the industry, Bree D’Val is 100% creatively involved in her music.  “I like to be there while the producer makes the track,” says D’Val, “I like to build the record from the ground up.”  Being a part of the creation process ensures that Bree’s vision and personal creativity mesh with her music so that listeners can get to know her as an artist.  And unlike many artists, what Bree D’Val talks about in her songs, she has experienced, which is why her current project is full of upbeat smash singles detailing her experiences in the life of fun and partying.

This southern girl from Florida moved to Atlanta years ago to pursue her music career.  Together with friends, Bree formed the all girl group, Just a Girl.

“Being in a girl group builds confidence and helps get rid of stage fright but on the other hand it can tear you down because there is always competition,” Bree says.

Over time the girl group dissolved and Bree continued with her solo career.  With her extensive experience in modeling and dancing, performance is second nature to her, making the transition from girl group to solo artist an easy one.

“It was the best decision I ever made,” says Bree.  “The projects become more intensified with the lack of constraints and having to check with other people for approval on material.”

D’Val is currently working on her mixtape scheduled for release later in 2010.  The up-tempo sound is characteristic of previous times when women made music destined for the club.  Her current single, “Lil Buddy,” is certainly distinguishing of this quality.  This fast paced, upbeat dance song is one for the ladies, calling out all the fraudulent men who as Bree describes it, “talk a lot of smack but can’t back it up.”  The single is available for purchase on iTunes and the video, which was directed by Bree’s current manager Damian Marcano, can be viewed on Bree’s website.

Bree is currently managed by the Blue Cinnamon group, a team that consists of Damian Marcano and Alexa Bailey.  The duo sought self-sufficient artists, capable of following through with the visions set in place and putting out products when they decided to team up with Bree D’Val.  Her stamina and ability to deliver has made the team effective in building and creating her brand and her products.  They give room for Bree to be herself, fashionable and sexy with a tomboy edge.  With her innate star power and innovative looks and delivery, D’Val is sure to set the music industry ablaze.
