Zine Fest looks to educate Atlanta

The local art culture continues to shift this summer with the Atlanta Zine Fest, taking place tomorrow in the eclectic Castleberry Hill art district.

The Atlanta Zine Fest is a collective effort between MASS Collective and the Atlanta Zine Library, celebrating DIY (Do It Yourself) and handmade media. Bringing artists, panelists, distinguished speakers, vendors and hundreds of artists to the Erikson Clock Building in Castleberry Hill, the event looks to connect and educate creative individuals with the national artistic community.

The Atlanta Zine Fest is an extremely new event in the city of Atlanta, hosting its first ever event last year. Beginning at 12:00 noon, the event will feature skillshare workshops for handcrafting, counterculture panel discussions and vendors selling their own handmade goods.

Located on 364 Nelson Street in Castleberry Hill, the Atlanta Zine Fest will take place in a large, two floor warehouse in the heart of arguably the most aesthetically diverse district in Atlanta. With hundreds of attendees expected to return from last year, the Atlanta Zine Fest is sure to make waves in the downtown community.
