WRASFEST 2013: Celebrating 42 years on the air

On May 19th, Georgia State’s  student-staffed radio station WRAS is hosting its annual fundraiser to celebrate 42 years of airtime and local music.

WRASFEST  is headlined by some of Atlanta’s musical talent including Manray, Mood Rings, P Villa, Death of Kings, Sneaky Hand and Basement Banshees.

The Student Center will host the festivities from 6 pm until midnight. The first 88 patrons will be awarded with WRAS gift bags. An array of Atlanta’s food trucks, including King of Pops, Tex’s Tacos, Mighty Meatballs and the Bubble Tea truck will be stationed at the event.

WRAS (Album 88) has the largest wattage of any student radio station in the world. The $10 cover charge  helps to maintain the independent radio station where anyone can call in and interact with the DJ’s or even request a favorite local band. Free parking for attendees will be located at G deck.
