Coming off winning three out of their four games in the Panther Invitational, Georgia State softball will play five games split between Atlanta and Kennesaw as part of the Georgia Tech-Kennesaw State Invitational.

The team’s first two matchups will be against the Stony Brook University Seawolves.

The first of the two games will be at Mewborn Field at Georgia Tech on Friday, and the second will take place at the Bailey Softball Complex on Saturday.

The Panthers will also face co-host school Kennesaw State later in the day.

These games are the season openers for the Seawolves while Georgia State opened its 2014 season with four wins and one loss.

Six players for the Panthers have batting averages over .400, including Lauren Coleman, who also has three home runs and 13 RBIs.

Weather may affect this game as the forecast for the metropolitan Atlanta area projects morning thunderstorms before turning partly cloudy later in the day.
