Green Fee still needs approval

The Green Fee, a proposed addition to mandatory student fees that would go towards sustainability efforts on campus, still needs to be passed by the University President.

Although the Green Fee has been passed by Student Government and the Faculty Committee, it has not been approved by President Becker.

According to Jennifer Asman, Sustainability Program Coordinator, most believe it will ultimately pass.

The fee will not fund the Office of Sustainability, but will instead go towards student projects aimed towards creating a more environmentally friendly campus.

The Office of Sustainability is supported through university funding.

The Green Fee will cost each student three dollars per semester.
