Loud music, talk from excited students, and dribbling basketballs were the sounds that emanated from the plaza near Hurt Park this afternoon.
In celebration of the 2013 NCAA Final Four: Atlanta, the Athletics Department here at Georgia State along with Connor Sports organized an event to help promote it.
The event consisted of a live DJ, portable basketball courts for students to play on, inflatables and free giveaways.
“ It was a Final Four pep rally type of thing,” Keona Blunt, a freshman Georgia State student, said.
Students, like Blunt, played each other on the basketball courts for fun and had a good time in between classes.
“It was fun especially because it wasn’t super competitive. I’m not good at basketball,” Blunt said. “The music was also great.”
