Car accident victim’s father gets charges of interfering with government property dropped
The father of a deceased car accident victim was acquitted of charges on Apr. 12 after attempting to build a barrier where his daughter and her boyfriend swerved off the road at a White County bridge, according to WSB-TV. His daughter was with her boyfriend when the car fell off the bridge into the creek. Four days after the arrest, concrete dividers were placed at the bridge and the county intends to put in a more permanent solution, according to the County Manager.

Pregnant mother’s unborn child survives after father accidentally runs over her
A 36-week-old infant was recovered from its deceased mother through a successful C-section after the father unintentionally ran the mother over on Apr. 20, according to NBC News. Police said the pregnant woman was arguing with her husband over when her car was going to get repaired. Houston Police Investigator, Rolando Saenz said the woman held onto the driver’s side door as the man drove away and after falling, was run over by the car. No charges have been made against the husband.

Algerian national arrested in Paris after shooting self in foot
Algerian national Sid Ahmed Ghlam was detained in Paris, France April 19 after accidentally shooting himself, according to BBC. The French police followed the trail of blood to his car where they found weaponry. In Ghlam’s apartment, notes linked to al-Qaeda and Islamic State was also found, according to BBC. French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said Ghlam was known for his desire to fight Islamic militants in Syria.
