Top ten local events on Halloween Eve

Halloween is on a Sunday this year, and many of you must be panicked about where to wear your Snooki costume. Don’t fret! Atlanta will be thriving on Saturday, Oct. 30, and The Signal’s nightlife roundup breaks down the frightening festivities. Whether you’re looking for an upscale evening or a haunted hillbilly hoedown, there’s an event to fit anyone’s Halloween hankerings.

1. Twain’s Second Dang Annual Moonshiner’s Ball Halloween Party

8 p.m.

Twain’s Billiards and Tap, 211 E. Trinity Place

$5, 21-and-up after 9 p.m.

This hillbilly-themed party, now in its second year, asks you to don your fanciest overalls and get rowdy with likeminded folks. Though the Moonshiner’s Ball in downtown Decatur may not be the best venue for your guidette get-up, it will be a fantastic place to win prizes at various games, get your groove on southern style and maybe even win first place in the costume contest. Local country-bluegrass act Uncle Daddy and the Kissin’ Cousins will perform at the event, which is co-hosted by Ink and Dagger Tattoo.

For those of you bemoaning the 21-and-up barrier at most nightclub doors, you can revel at the Spring 4th Center’s rave-and-haunted house combo event. This alcohol-free event, which at press time had more than 700 potential attendees on its Facebook listing, boasts appearances from Paul Maxwell, Austin Velez and DJ Golden, who’ll play techno and hip-hop for the youthful crowd. The Masquerade

695 North Ave NE
