Street Grace asks community to help end child sex trafficking

If you’re looking for a new project to keep you busy during the hot summer days, Street Grace is definitely an organization you want to get involved with.

Street Grace is a nonprofit organization that utilizes the community to end child sex trafficking and youth homelessness

“Atlanta is a hotspot for sex trafficking and we [Georgia State] are at the center of all this,” said Anh Ly, the Vice President of Georgia State’s Street Grace chapter. “Yet we don’t offer any classes about this issue.”

As a result, she encourages students to get involved with the organization. “These kids need GED tutors and mentors,” she said, “they don’t have a role model—they’re victims and some even have children of their own that they have to take care of.”

To get involved with Street Grace or to find out more about the organization, stop by their session Catching Child Traffickers. Special guest speaker Sara Thomas will be speaking about child sex trafficking from the viewpoint of an Officer.

Catching Child Traffickers will take place in GCB 305 on March 28 from 12:15-1 p.m.
