U.S. Poet Laureate visits Georgia State

United States Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey will read excerpts from her latest book, “Thrall: Poems” today at the Rialto Center for Performing Arts at 2p.m.

Tretheway is a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and the Robert W. Woodruff Professor of English and Creative Writing at Emory University.

A book signing and reception will take place afterwards at 3p.m.

The first 100 guests will receive a free copy of Tretheway’s book “Thrall: Poems”.

The event is part of Georgia State’s Centennial Speaker Series, an event that celebrates Georgia State’s first century landmark.

The event is free and open to the public.
