This is the end: Panthers handled in final game of season, CAA

The Georgia State women’s basketball team’s season ended in a blowout loss to the Delaware Blue Hens by a final score of 86-58 on Wednesday night in Newark, Del.

Delaware scored the first 16 points of the game and led by as many as 25 in the first frame.

At the half, the Blue Hens led Georgia State 44-23.

The game was never competitive as Delaware maintained a large lead throughout the second half.

Senior All-American, Elena Delle Donne, led the team with 24 points in only 17 minutes of playing time.

For Georgia State, Kendra Long was the leading scorer with 14 points.

The ended the season with 13 wins and 16 losses and compiled a 5-13 record in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Long was the leading scorer with nearly 11 points a game.

Senior Cody Paulk was the leading rebounded with over eight per game.
