Several Georgia State events cancelled due to snow storm

The second round of the snow storms that began on Tuesday, Feb. 11 has caused this week’s events at Georgia State to be cancelled or rescheduled.

The appearance of tv host and naturalist Jack Hanna that was supposed to take place Wednesday, Feb. 12 as part of the Distinguished Speaker series has been cancelled.

The Zealous Zeta Chapter of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority’s Scarves in Solidarity, a two-day event aimed to explore life behind a hijab on Tuesday, Feb. 11 and Wednesday, Feb. 12, has been postponed.The sorority posted on their facebook page that further details will be posted as soon as possible.

The Women’s basketball game has also been rescheduled. According to the Georgia State website, the game was supposed to take place Wednesday, Feb. 12, but it will now take place Thursday, Feb. 13 at 4:30 p.m.

The GSU Red Cross Club’s fundraising bake sale has also been cancelled. The event was also supposed to take place Wednesday, Feb. 12.

The event Biracial Beyond Black and White Part two hosted by GSU Intercultural Relations has also been cancelled with no word of a reschedule. An email was sent out Monday, Feb. 10 informing students about the cancellation.
