Robinson College of Business ranked top 25 in the nation

The J. Mack Robinson College of Business was ranked amongst the top 25 business schools for its part-time MBA programs in the biennial rankings by Bloomberg Businessweek.

Georgia State’s College of Business is the largest business school in the South, the sixth largest business school in the nation and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It has over 8,000 students, 200 faculty members, programs on five different continents and about 80,000 alumni.

According to the Robinson website, students ranked the Robinson College of Business with “As” for teaching qualities, the character levels of fellow classmates and curriculum.

The magazine bases its part-time MBA ratings on student surveys, academic qualities and post-MBA outcomes.

The part-time MBA was ranked among the best by Aspen Institute and U.S. News & World Report. The executive MBA is on the Financial Times list of the world’s premier programs.

Toby McChesney, assistant dean of graduate recruiting and student services at Georgia State, thinks the MBA program offered by the J. Mack Robinson College of Business was great for students.

Georgia State offers its MBA program in two different formats: the professional MBA group program, which lasts 24 months and the flexible MBA program, which allows individuals to earn their degrees within a two-to-five-year timespan.

According to an analysis of Standard & Poor’s data provided on Bloomberg’s website, the Robinson College of Business has produced more top Georgia executives with graduate degrees when compared to other schools in the Southeast.

Robinson annually surveys its graduating classes from December, May and August about their career statuses zero to six months after graduation. The following salary results were reported in 2012:

When he first heard the news about Robinson being ranked within the nation’s top 25 and saw the statistical salary information provided on the website he said, “It makes me feel more secure about my future, because I feel as if I am more likely to get a job once I graduate if I am coming from a prestigious business university.”
