Plan a fall date with your boo

Fall is my favorite season. The leaves are changing, the air is crisp and romance is in the air. I personally feel as though fall is the most romantic season—it’s not too hot to where you’re constantly sweating (not sexy), but it’s not too cold to where you’re afraid of leaving your house because there is a possibility you may freeze to death (also not sexy).

Nope. Fall is perfect and there are some great date ideas that are perfect for that fall weather. Here are a few:

  1. Go to a pumpkin patch – You’ll have a blast
picking out your own pumpkin and tasting all the magically wonderful pumpkin
treats they have. With homemade pumpkin goodies, you’ll forget about all those pumpkin
spice lattes you passed off as a “real” pumpkin drink.

  2. Take a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway – It’s
about a 4-hour round trip with a stop in a small town on the border of Tennessee
and Georgia. But what makes this the best time to take the ride is being in
the mountains where you can see the leaves in all their autumn glory. The train
is not enclosed so it does get a bit windy, so make sure you bring a scarf.

  3. Go to the Corn Maze – I was a bit skeptical about
this to begin with but a couple of years ago a group of my friends and I went and
walked around the maze and it was a blast. The maze usually has “clues” to
which way you’re supposed to go, but we had fun just figuring it out ourselves and playing Marco Polo when we lost each other.

  4. Go to a football game – I am a firm believer that
you really don’t know your romantic interest until you see them in sports or reacting to sports. People can get a bit intense about their
favorite teams, but if you’re both on the same page about which team you’re
rooting for or that you’re just there to have a relaxing time, games can be a
lot of fun. Share a hotdog, but get your own beers.

  5. Have a Netflix night – Don’t want to go out into
the brisk autumn weather? Stay in, make pumpkin or apple treats for you and
your partner and indulge in horror movies on Netflix. I always like watching
horror movies in the fall, especially near Halloween time. Make sure you turn
off all the lights and light a few candles to really set the mood.

  6. Take a hot air balloon ride – This date may not
be for people that are afraid of heights, but for the rest of us it could be a
blast. I’ve always wanted to do this and I think this fall will be the best
time to do so! There are a few hot air balloon companies around Atlanta that
often run group and individual specials to save you money, so make sure to shop
around. But I have a feeling once you’re in the air with your significant
other, it will be the most romantic date he or she has ever had.
