The Georgia State football team entered Texas State in a match-up of 2-6 Sun Belt teams. The Panthers left Texas State as a team who still has the possibility of playing in a 2015-16 bowl game.

Previously ruled out for the season, running backs Kyler Neal and Taz Bateman returned to the starting lineups for the Panthers against a struggling Texas State defense.

Nick Arbuckle set a school record with 471 passing yards to go along with 4 touchdowns on the day.

Wil Lutz also bounced back from a poor kicking performance against UL Lafayette by converting 42 and 44-yard field goals.

Georgia State will have to win every game remaining this season to finish with bowl-game qualifying 6 wins.

Next for the Panthers is a Nov. 21 matchup against South Alabama at 2 p.m. in the Georgia Dome.
