Panthers pitcher Dillon Swaggerty Beaten at Bar

Dillon Swaggerty, transfer right-handed pitcher, was forcefully held down and beaten by group of men at Kramer’s Bar in Buckhead over the weekend. He is currently in intensive care with serious head drama from the incident.

Tammy Swaggerty, Swaggerty’s mother, told WSBTV that he was surrounded by a group of men who pushed him and the girl he was dancing with to the ground.

“The one that did the shoving just punched him and they held him down,” Swaggerty said.

An Uber driver saw Swaggerty after the beating walking gingerly and offered him a ride home for free according to Tammy.

Kim Jones, Atlanta police spokesperson, told Patch the department was unaware of the incident until Tammy called them Monday evening.

As of Wednesday morning, Jones said there is nothing to report on potential leads or suspects.

Swaggerty transferred from Georgia Highlands College and was expected to pitch in the rotation this weekend.
