Courtyard campaigning helps students vote

Student Government Association candidates were in the courtyard on Tuesday to encourage students to vote for them in the election.

Voting officially began Monday.

“I have not voted yet but I do plan on voting today,” said Kayla Maxwell, a sophomore.

She attended the debate which took place last Thursday night at the Student Center. The first of two debates gave all candidates a chance to speak on their platforms and campaign to potential voters.

Maxwell found Thursday’s debate to be “very informed and entertaining.”

Leah Branham, also a sophomore, did not get a chance to attend the debate Thursday or Monday night.

“I actually got stopped by quite a few [candidates] on campus and listened to what they had to say as far as their platforms and goals for Georgia State,” Branham said.
