Braves season to affect Georgia State student parking

Students who regularly park at Turner Field will once again have to pay close attention to the Braves’ season schedule.

Because Georgia State shares the Turner Field Lot with the Braves, the baseball team’s schedule will affect when and how long students can park at the lot.

When the Braves play a game before 5 p.m., the lot will be closed to Georgia State students the whole day.

When the team plays night games, the lot will open until 5 p.m.

“Students that are parked during non-GSU hours are subject to towing by the Turner Field parking officials,” Director of Marketing and Administration Support, Christopher Connelly, said. “Despite posters, flyers, message board posts, social media messages, website updates, A-Frame signs at the field and all of our other efforts to make sure students know when they can park there, there still seem to be students that get their car towed every semester.  There are over 1,700 student parking spaces at Turner Field so this is a sizable amount of students that this is effecting.”
